 |
EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY:
The only wood we mill our logs from is Tidewater Red Cypress which is
one of nature's best woods for log home construction with it's natural
resistance to termites and rot. This species of wood grows in the deep
swamps of the coastal plains of the Southeastern states and along the
Gulf of Mexico adjacent to the tidewaters. All logs milled at BK Cypress
are proudly grade stamped. |
 |
SUPERIOR EXPERIENCE: The
family of BK Cypress started manufacturing with cypress materials in the
1930's and log homes in the 1970's and is the nation's oldest Tidewater
Red Cypress log home manufacturer. With more than 60 years of experience
in the cypress lumber and log industries, the family of BK Cypress Log
Homes takes pride in quality materials and individual customer service. |
 |
UNMATCHED WARRANTY: Due to
the high concentration of nature's nontoxic chemical, CYPRESSENE, we are
so convinced of the suitability of Tidewater Red Cypress as a log
material, that we offer a 60-year Limited Warranty against rot, decay,
and termite infestation. |
 |
DISTINCT DIFFERENCE:
Tidewater Red Cypress is different due to the tight dense grain pattern
which makes it less susceptible to the twisting and warping tendencies
common in most other wood species. Logs are milled from the heartwood
and are naturally stable. This oil based wood is non-allergenic and
imparts neither taste nor odor to people or products coming into contact
with it. Because of this, people with respiratory problems have sought
out Tidewater Red Cypress as a relief from chemically treated logs,
pressure treated lumber and even modern day plywood with its resin glues
and formaldehyde. |
